A Word about Sportsmanship
Coaches, it is our job to educate our spectators about proper etiquette. Tell our spectators to remain seated during performances as a courtesy to the preformers and to other spectators, as they would during a theatrical or music performance. And while an enthusiastic audience is great to dance for, extreme noisemakers can detract from a performance, or even distract the judges. The jam session at the end of the day is for dancers only - please no friends or fans. Remind your crowd that they also play a role in the outcome of the Sportsmanship Award.
